98 honda Civic makes high squealing noise and won't turn over?

And it shakes really hard and there is some smoke coming from the engine. I think it could be the timing belt but I am not sure if it makes an loud squeal when they go bad. Any insight would be much appreciated.

If your timing belt broke, your engine is gone buddy. quit trying to start it and get it looked at before anything else messes up

Your A/C belt has probably gone bad or another belt. The timing belt doesn't squeal. I had the same problem.
