Take a trip to your car parts place and ask for a repair manual for that car. The info you need is in there. You can either buy the book or they will let you look inside {probably}.Hope this helps.

DO NOT PUT YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID WHERE THE DIPSTICK IS!! You will mess your ride up good if you do that. I read some of these other entries and some of these guys are clueless. I know because I have already changed mine. I have the 2000 civic si. I put just under 2 qts of transaxle fluid in mine about 2 years ago. The drain plug was located on the passenger side of the vehicle. You will have to take the wheel off unless you are able to throw it up on a rack. Even then you will have to take the wheel off to drain and get to it easily. The plug will be facing the wheel. It is tight in there right next to the boot that covers the front axle that goes into the drive train. There is a drain plug and a fill/check plug area just above it. I used a sports bottle with a right angle straw to fill mine. It was tough because the fluid is basically a high viscosity oil. I had to squeeze hard and for a long time. I would probably think up a hose and funnel contraption if I was to do it again. I would recommend getting the Hanes manual for your make. This is all covered in the first chapter of the book. It covers all civics from 1996-2000, cr-vs 97-00 and integra 94-00. The actual book number is 42025. They are about $18 and worth it. A mistake might cost you far more than that. Go to pep boys or advance auto. they have them there. REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE DRAIN PLUG BEFORE YOU FILL OTHERWISE ALL THE FLUID WILL RUN OUT.
