my 2004 honda civic pops out of 5th gear?
 

my 2004 honda civic has been acting up. i brought it to the dealership with transmission problems at 100,000 miles. they told me they replaced the bearings and everything else was fine. now about two weeks later my car has been popping out of 5th gear. it doesn't matter if i am accelerating, slowing down, going up hill or down, and the shifter is all the way in gear. it will keep popping out if it stays in 5th. i either have to hold it in when i drive, which i know is bad, or drive in 4th the entire time. which as you can imagine can be really annoying. does anyone know what is wrong?

yes your transmission is ****ed.. and you need to take it back to your mechanic, take it to the dealership if it is still under warranty but if it isn't then go to a trusted private mechanic, because dealership mechanics will rip you off

You may have been going into 5th gear too soon. I burned up the 5th gear driving around in town at 40 mph. 5th is for highway use and should be gone into at 50 miles per hour or so...not before that speed.
