My 2005 Honda Civic started making noise after i drove through water?

It just happened today. It was rainy and I was going about 40 mph, I didn't see a puddle of water(pretty deep) and ran right into it. After that happened, when I step on the gas it starts making noise and kind of shaky to the right of the car. The noise sounded like a soft muffler reving. Should I wait for it to dry to see if it still doesn that or anybody know? thanx.

There is water in the engine go to a garage to deal with it. Thye will use a dehumidifior on it.

It'll sort itself out once it's dried. Don't worry :-)

When you do that and your motor in your car is running aka ON and you run through deep water with it, that sound that you hear........that sound is coming from water being splashed upon your motor b/c it is getting on the belt that runs your motor. Nothing to worry about. I do it sometimes too and not supposed to. But if it persists take it to a car shop to be looked at and tell them what it is doing and how it started and why.

You have water that went in through your intake. Because of its low standing hondas have a tendency to suck up wate rthrough its intake so you may have to open your air box pull out the filter and use a vaccum to suck out the water
