my 91 honda civic will not start even with a jump it has no response what
so ever. what could it be? Last night i drove to a friends car started just fine. I went to leave and it wouldn't start. It just made some clicking and buzzing noises. I hooked it up to a charger and it started up just fine, I hit the lights and it died . i jumped it again and it started. this morning i tried to start it, nothing happened no response. I hooked it up to the charger and it just started smoking and sparking, nothing happened no response again. i pulled the battery out and hooked the car directly to a power source and nothing. what could this be? what might have caused it? what do i do?i have no power to the car what so ever not radio or dome light nothing electrical works. it just wont do anything or make any noise

I would say a dead battery or dead cells. The battery is the conduit for energy to enter your car. If the cells are dead it can not hold the charge nor deliver a currect from another source. You can have your battery checked at any parts store for free.Good luck!

You have a starter problem, have the mechanic look it.

bad starter.

If your cables are corroded it won't start or jump, and hooking it up to whatever your power source was won't either because it's not getting a connection to the starter, clean your cables and battery connections and try it again with a jump, with corrosion your alternator may not have been able to charge the battery and you may have been running off the alternator.

Get a new battery. Never hook your car directly to a power source. It could fry your electronics, and it doesn't work like that anyway. Your car won't run without a battery, period.Go to any autoparts store and buy a battery. Install it and drive back to the store to have your alternator checked. Its free, and a bad alternator can cause your battery to go bad.

sounds like you need a new battery. Sometimes when a batt. goes dead, it does weird things that you'd think wouldn't happen, but it's all related to the dead battery. Your situation sounds exactly like when my battery was dead.

you are pregnant and you pulled the battery? boy you are one tough chick. when you say you hooked it up to a power source what do you mean? you need a new battery, trust me, if you put in the new battery and it still doesn't work, then you shouldn't of trusted me, but I'm pretty sure thats it, I hope its a girl
