My Honda Civic?

The gas gage constantly goes up and down, and I am never sure of how much gas I have left. Is this a flaw of the Civics, or just my car? Or do Civics have gas gages that fluctuate with car temp of the car?It has 77,000 miles on it, and was manufactured in 2000.

Just call your local dealer, he'll let you know.

my Honda Civic did that. Its 2004. I gauged my gas by the mileage I put on week to week. But it probably wouldnt hurt to get it checked out :)

I have a 2003 that does the same thing. I've brought it in and they put in a new cluster (whatever that is) and it still does it. I just fill up more often now and watch my miliage/mpg to estimate when to fill up. They claim nothing's wrong. Yeah whatever.

It might be a flaw in the civic with the float in the tank. Also gas gauges are inaccurate to begin with. I wouldnt worry too much as long as it doesnt fluctuate like a quarter of a tank at a time.

when u stop at a red light . it will stop moving and then u can check at the gauge and it will tell the correct amount.when u accelerate the gauge goes up and when u break it goes down. so like i said stop and that will be the correct amount
