What does the clicking noise mean when I apply the brakes?

I have a '04 Honda Civic LX. Whenever I apply the brakes and press it all the way, there is a click that I can feel on the brake pad. It is usually one click only. This only happens when I press the brake as far as it can go. I want to know what that click means?

no you dont have a rock in between your brake pad and your rotor absolutely no way theres not enough clearance to have a rock stuck in between the only thing that could probably go in between will be dirt or your finger nail so the answer for that clicking noise is just the piston inside the caliper being pressed against the brake pad , and the only reason why it makes that noise is because you have air in it so what you need to do is purge your brakes . i hope this helps and it makes sense somehow.
