06 CR-V Radio Antenna

Has anyone ran there second generation CR-V thru a drive thru car wash, and
how did the radio antenna survive?

The antenna will not retract for a car wash, you have to remove it, which is
bullshit!

Thanks

Tom

Go through the car wash with the antenna in place. Millions of other
vehicles do it every week.

The best thing to do is to wash it yourself or take it to a car wash where
humans do all the washing, not an automated wash.

Who has time or wants to wash a car by hand.

I don't think the antenna is much more vulnerable than the side mirrors are,
and certainly not as expensive. Automated car washes have been known to tear
those off - as one of my brothers learned the hard way :-( It goes
without saying the wash owners/managers deny responsibility for damage.

We take ours to a hand-wash place nearby. They do a great job, never scratch
the paint or rip pieces off the car, and only cost a little more than an
automatic.

Mike
