1990 Accord Questions

Hey all, I have a 1990 Honda Accord Ex-R my question is I have no spark
and fuel pressure, I think I have narrowed it down to being the computer
and or the dist being bad. My question is what year and models are
compatable as a replacement, some people say an LX computer will not
work in the Ex-R and others say it will. And for the dist I know the 90
and 91 are interchangebale because of the internal coil but again with
the model issue. If anyone has experience in this dept please let me
know thanks.

Re: 1990 Accord Questions

You should take your car immediately to a dealer. They are the only ones who
are experienced enough to be able to deal with this problem.

Re: 1990 Accord Questions

Bill, I am not going to take my car to the dealer when it cost $75/hr to fix
something that I can fix, plus a tow. Two of my best friends are mechanics and
they have been helping me, my local Honda dealer will not confirm my questions
since they want me to by parts from them. The parts are a min of $500+ dollars
and I would rather fix it myself with the help of knowledagable people from this
newsgroup and friends, someone will know an answer to this question. I will just
have to wait.
