The mechanic really should have known he messed up when he found the timing off... or maybe he did and hoped you wouldn't notice :-( It's hard to get the belt on right without moving the crankshaft a bit because the valve springs fight you, but it's easy to see if it went on right. Between that and the overtensioning, the mechanic really screwed the pooch on that one. Mike Mike |
