1998 Accord windshield wiper issue

When my wipers are on they seem to go too far in their wipe. The driver side
wiper goes out of window range and about 1-2 inches past the rubber sealing
thing, sometimes getting stuck up there. On the way back down the passanger
side wiper smacks the bottom of the windshield wiper area. What's wrong
here? Motor? Some kind of adjustment?

Thanks, Hector

Has someone taken them off the transmission? May need to re-set the
location on the knurled knob, unless the knob is loose where it attaches
to the cowl. bob
