Don't have my owner's manual on me at the moment, but my Haynes Repair
Manual for 2000 Honda Civic recommends you check your distributor cap,
rotor and wires every 30,000mi and replace them when necessary. Your
spark plugs should be replaced every 60,000mi. Fuel filter replacement,
every 30,000mi.

Purchase a Haynes Repair Manual. Found mine to be very useful/helpful.
