2001 Civic

got a 2001 civic, have to adjust the headlights, one is pointed down
slightly.. i know park it with teh lights on by a building and then back
up about 20 feet and see where the one out of alignment is moving to and
then just adjust it... but on this car i cant get a socket in to get to
what looks like the 10 mm bolt to do anything to it... i can get an opne
end wrench on it (10 MM), but cant turn it as there is no room with the
sheet metal blocking the movement of the wrench.... and i can only find
one bolt, i guess its for the up and down movement???? its ont he upper
left(sitting in the car) on the left headlight in back of it....
any help or web sites??? thanks for a reply....

Re: 2001 Civic

Go get one of those tools that looks like a screw driver but has the 10mm
hex end instead of an acutal screwdriver tip. Those are usually slimmer
than a socket. Worst case scenario, try needle-nose pliers, but be careful
if you go that route.

Good luck!

thanks, but if you are talking about the 1/4 in drive handle, i got that
and the flexible shaft also, even tried the off set ratchet double ended
box wrench.. went to harbor freight and bought one, went out to car and
tried it.. no room to even get the tool to lay on the bolt...muchless
turn it... looks like the flat ratchet might work, but cannot find a 10
mm one at any sears store locally... thanks anyway, just looking for
someone that did align their headlights on a 2001 civic...

Seems like the easy thing would be to call a Honda dealer (or several) and
ask them what tool they use & if there is a "trick" to it. Most of them
will just tell you.
