2001 Honda Accord

Hi
I have a 2001 Accord, I had some books on the front passenger seat, which
activated the ABS warning light. How do I reset this light.

Thanks

My Accord had the same occurrence when my wife had her purse (suitcase<g>)
on the front passenger seat. The computer registered the weight as being the
same as a small child, and turned the airbag off, which is shown by
illuminating the SRS indicator. I believe all that had to be done was to
remove the offending article from the seat and start the car again.

Something lightweight on the front seat will activate the light. Steve
is right, The light was telling you that the weight in the front seat
was not enough for the airbag to safely deploy. No need to worry about
a fix. My mother in law is very small and she always set the light off.
I guess if we crashed i would hit the airbag and she would find the
dash board.

Books on the front passenger seat cannot activate ABS light. Check again
what light you are talking about. Is it really ABS light? Or maybe it is
SRS light?

Hi Steve,

Have you tried to unplug the car battery for 5 minutes. This may help to
reset the computer.

Allen
