2003 Accord Coupe V6 MT pops out of first gear

I have a 2003 Accord Coupe, V6 with the six speed manual, only 400 miles on
it. When decelerating in first gear, it pops out of gear. I can put it in
first gear at a stop, accelerate to 10 mph, then take my foot off the gas,
and within 2-3 seconds, it pops (rather violently) out of gear into neutral.

I took it to the dealer, they said they were going to replace the first gear
in the transmission. Today they changed this and said that "Honda engineers
talked to us and want us to run some tests first."

Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what it might be? Any ideas what I
should be asking?

I would take it into them and tell them you paid for a new car
w/service.......Now where is my service. Tell them that you aren't an
experiment for Honda's engineers and that it is actually quite dangerous,
because you use that gear to decelerate in traffic (add that in and they
will start moving). They are just waiting for a law-suit by not fixing
something that they know the solution for if something should happen to you
or your car relating to this problem. Don't take NO for an answer. If the
guy you have been talking to doesn't move for you. Move up to the next guy.
If that doesn't work I would write a letter to Honda themselves. Not a
Nasty one, just one that expresses your dislike and possible injury in this
situation. I know it probably isn't likely that an accident will occure but
it is alot more possible. Just My Opinion
