2003 Accord Low Fuel Light
I just purchase a 2003 Accord Coupe EX-L new from a dealer. They only had a 2004 manual for me. If anyone has an extra manual I would buy it...I have ordered one, but the order is messed up. My question. I have read the 2004 manual only says to refill when the low fuel light come on...My calculations say that I should have about 4.5 gallons left when the light comes on...anyone have the Honda number or done the math themselves???? Thanks, Pat PS...I notice the MPG discussions earlier. Good gas makes a big difference at least in San Antonio.... -- pat8635 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via RealCarAudio.com - The checkmate of the caraudio community. http://www.RealCarAudio.com pat8635's Profile: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/m...fo&userid=4866 View this thread: http://www.realcaraudio.com/forums/s...threadid=50422 |

With your explanation, what would you do if you were half-way thru the desert, and came to the only gas station? Wait till the light came on? You're free to refill your tank whenever you want to. Take full advantage of 'gas wars', just don't overfill. P.S. Most Hondas have a generous 'reserve' . . . must be from their history as a motorcycle builder. 'Curly' |

If the light ever does come on, stop at the next gas station you see. You don't want to take a chance and end up on the side of the road with no gas. If you plan to go thru a desert--fill up when it is below the half way point. -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIBERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice. Did the math on a 2004 EX I4 and came out something over three gallons. Any of my last couple of cars seemed happy to go 30+ miles after the light comes on, I've never had occassion to push it much more than that. J. |
