2004 accord headrests

After driving my 2004 Accord for a week I don't like the headrests. They
seem to be too close to my head. I preferred the headrests in my 1985
accord. They were about 4 inches from head. I see the adjustment for
moving the headrest up and down but is there a way to move it back so it's
not so close to my head??????????

Anyone else have this complaint?????????????

thanks

duane

I think that they probably do that so that they are actually of use if/when
you get hit from behind....4 inches = 4 inches of whiplash
opportunity.....but then maybe you hate seatbelts too... :-S

Unless your head is actually touching the headrest, it is fine. Make sure
it is centered on the back of your skull (NOT the back of the neck).

Is there a way to move it back...??? No
I'm sure that various other people have this complaint but I'm also sure
that various other people like it the way it is.
