2004 civic hesitates on acceleration... HELP
I just bought a 2004 honda civic and have noticed the following problem....
When the engine is cold (car has not been run for several hours) and i first accellerate from a complete stop, the car will accelerate for a second, seems to loose power and hesitate for about a second, and then resumes normal acceleration. After a minute or 2 of driving (once the car gets warm) the problem goes away. Honda says nothing is wrong with the car, but i think there is and it is really pissing me off |

You should take your car immediately to a dealer. They are the only ones who
are experienced enough to be able to deal with this problem. This sounds like the tranny problem I had with a 1999 Acura, the auto transmission needed a flush, as it turns out. OTOH, it happened all the time, not just when cold, but only when I accelerated hard. And come to think of it, it seldom happened from a complete stop, mostly happened when trying to pass from a rolling start. J. |
