2004 Civic SE
Anybody else here with this 4 door civic.
Well, here's my question, I have owned three civics to date and have always enjoyed them. Today I was looking at the front tires of my civic and noticed that I could see through from the wheel well into the the motor compartment of the car and beyond. I can literally see completely across the car. Is this normal, I'm pretty sure that both of my prior civics completely covered the whole wheel well. My worry is that the tires will eventually throw snow and ice into the engine compartment and perhaps cause some damage. Thanks |

Yeah, the older civics have the wheel wells covered. I haven't seen the new
civics so I can't tell you if it's normal or not. In any case, you have valid concerns and if I were you, I'd check with the dealer and listen to their side of the story. Might be a defect. dude the wheel well insert is there to protect the engine compartment from

I went to the dealer and he told me that it was perfectly normal.
Saw the cars on his lot and also those in the showroom and all the cars there did not have that protection. I think that Honda is inviting trouble by failing to install those inserts. Hope Honda knows what it is doing!
