If that's how you judge an improved car, more power to you.
To me, the test is overall longevity and a tendency of the car to remain as functional, serviceable and comfortable as when it was new, as expressed by a percentage of original function. In that arena, the '90-93 Accord has held up remarkably well, despite some trouble spots like power antennae, rust on the lower quarters, and a few components like weak distributors. Their relaiability is borne out by the fact that the newest of that generation are almost 11 years old and there are still scores of them on the road. I see them everywhere. It's too early to tell on the newer Accords. Projection of data from earlier Hondas tells us that the newer cars are comparable in terms of reliability and serviceability to the older cars.
