90 civic lx engine swap question

I am looking to replace my 168k mile engine with a jdm d15b SOHC
engine
I have two questions
1. Is this a direct swap? or will there be some extra parts / items to
get?
2. I noticed this other engine is a dual carb .. i currectly have fuel
Injection, is this a problem? which is better?
i'm sure these are some loaded questions, thank you for your help

have you already bought this motor?

the "direct swap" motors are the d15b1's or d15b2's. the b1 doesn't
have the right cam [it's low lift] so you'd need to swap that out as
well. the "b0" what you have, should be mostly ok, but again, check the
cam. and the head if it's a california automatic.

your best bet is to call the seller and ask. they know more about all
the foreign variants than i do. but all b2's should be interchangeable
for all models that use them.

to answer your other question, the b1 was in the std hatchback - the
basic model. the b2, the one you want, should be real common and cheap.

one more thing - if you're in california, i believe you need not worry
about what used to be california emissions on this vehicle. according
to my local smog guy, and he showed me the page in the dmv handbook that
they use, the egr system that used to be mandatory on ca automatics,
"need not be present on the vehicle". i believe this is because the law
for ca not accepting 49-state emissions vehicles has been overturned, so
now, what used to be out of state emissions are legal in ca. that means
you can dispense with that hideously unreliable egr system completely
and use a 40-state ecu. that's what i have on my 89 civic ca auto and
it improves driveability immensely - all for $30. buyer beware, i have
not yet smogged this vehicle in this condition, but as i say, i've seen
the page in the dmv handbook - check with your local smog guy to be 100%
certain.
