'91 Accord Igniter Differences
I am replacing the component (igniter) show in the link
http://www.mentz50th.com/igniter.jpg, in a '91 Accord distributor. A poster here was kind enough to send me the unit seen on the right in the photo. The unit in the left is all green, has an ID number of E12-303, and another ID number below which reads 4518. The new piece, from a '91 Accord reads E12-302 and 3918, and is partly black. Safe to try the replacement? I have already attached the new component to a silver colored backing (which I need to better align). - Phil |
Re: '91 Accord Igniter Differences
There were two ignitors that I sent to you. One of them is from my '92,
and won't work. The other is from my son's '91, and is a good one. I hope you try the good one first. I wasn't able to tell them apart when I found them in my tool box. Both are original equipment Honda parts, not aftermarket ones. bob Phil wrote: > > I am replacing the component (igniter) show in the link > http://www.mentz50th.com/igniter.jpg, in a '91 Accord distributor.
