91 Honda EXR wagon - moaning sound

Have a 1991 Honda EXR wagon (273,000 km) that has started to make what is
best described as a hollow moaning sound from passenger side front end. The
wheel bearing has been replaced but the noise continues. It doesn't vary
with speed but seems to happen mostly over bumps (but not always !!). This
is driving me nuts ... does anyone have any ideas?

It could be lots of things. The best thing to do is take it back to the
mechanic that replaced the wheel bearing to check his work and to see if
he can find anything else that could be the source of the noise. Some
mechanics place the car on a lift and elevate it slighly. Before they
elevate the car--someone gets behind the steering wheel. After the car is
started and the front wheels start spinning--it's easy to identify the
exact source of the noise.
