92 Accord Sticky shift
I am new in this group and I was amazed with the wealth of information
available. I already found the answer of
my intermittent starting problem during summer. I decided to give a shot
for my other annoying problem.
I have been having problems with my 92 Accord EX automatic when I shift from
Park to Drive the very first time.
It feels rather sticky. I noticed also that this happens in summer. I had it
last summer, took to a mechanic and he
suggested to have the shifting cable (I am not sure about the exact term he
used but it was along this line) changed.
I decided to postpone the repair and drove through the winter without any
problem (no stickiness). It is summer again started having the problem. Does
the diagnosis of the mechanic make sense ?. It didn't to me because of its
seasonal nature.
Thanks for your inputs.
