97 Prelude - low mileage - timing belt replacement?
Just wanted to get your thoughts on the following maintenance items. I have
a 97 Prelude with 64,000 km and the recommended interval for the following is 84months/168,000 km Replace Spark Plugs Replace Timing Belt Replace Timing Balancer Belt Replace Water Pump If it was your car, would you have the work done? Thanks |

Thanks Curly. I'm in Ottawa, ON - hot summers, cold winters. I'm getting the
t-belt, balancer belt and water pump done - $525 CA at the dealer. I figure pocket change compared to having the belt go. Darren "'Curly Q. You might consider checking the PCV, or just get it changed. A bad PCV can screw up your fuel mileage or put your oil consumption thru the cieling. Your manual will confirm the interval for service.
