48 is usually an o2 sensor code in the end. what's the real code?
the obd2 code. it should be on your reciepts from having it read. be
a PXXXX number.
the honda codes aren't that much help. give me the obd2 code and i
can likely help. go to autozone, the read them for free.

Okay I have a 97 EX with the VTEC DOHC B16 engine in it, I had the same
problem. All you gotta do is put the highest octane of gas in your tank,
either that or put an octane booster in with every tank. That makes it go
away. Fully tuned civics DO NOT like regular gas, u just put an ass load of
money in to your car with the performance upgrades, now u gotta put good gas
in it everytime u fill up. So try that out.
