98 Civic PCV Valve Quality

Hi there,

I've been looking for a new PCV valve for my 98 civic D16Y7.
Honda wants $25, and the local parts store wants $3.47.

What is the difference between these parts? Since the action of
the PCV valve is fairly simple, does it matter if I use the
one from the parts store?

I know there is a big quality difference between honda and
parts store parts, but in this case, does it matter?

Re: 98 Civic PCV Valve Quality

Don't buy it aftermarket. I have a 98 DX D16Y7 also, and I got one of those
($4) 2 years ago, and is a PITA to put on and remove, it's bigger than the
OEM. First time I took it back but it was the correct one according to the
computer and book. I just ordered one from a dealer online ($9) and what a
difference, it was really easy to put it in place. My 2 cents.
