ABS and SRS Warning Lights
I have a 2002 civic EX that has the SRS and ABS warning lights coming on.
The ABS light will go on and off, sometimes shutting off when you slow down or when you hit the brakes. The SRS stays on most of the time, even if you connect the drivers side seat belt. Is there anything common with these two lights that could give me a clue as to the problem? The civic dealer said a dead battery could trigger the ABS light, but that has never happened. All fuses are fine, no frayed wires or connections that are loose. |
Re: ABS and SRS Warning Lights
Is it under warranty? Make the dealer fix it. The key is to read out the
codes which will tell what is failing.. Then check your brake fluid level, and you'll see it's low, or your park brake isn't going to the OFF position correctly. This stuff is all covered in your Fine owner's manual. Read the stuff about the passenger's seat being unnocupied, while you've got the manual out. 'Curly' |
