Accord 2.2 91' Problems
Taking lot of oil (about 1 quarter) for 200-300 miles.
Car has 131k miles on it. It's been maintained well (oil, folters, etc..) Also didn't pass emissions inspection (NO level to high) Any ideas on what could be wrong? Overall car runs great. No power decrease or anything like this. On a station they said to "try" change catalystic converter to decrease NO2 level. I don't want to pay $800 to "try". Pleas advice. P.S. Also, "Check Engine" is 0n, but on a station they said do not pay attention... |

This is fairly normal for a car that has over 130,000 miles and is burning lots of oil. You might want to trade it in on a newer car since it will cost you over $800 to have the engine rebuilt--Another option would be to have a mechanic remove your engine and install another engine that has already been rebuilt. |
