Air Filter for CIVIC?
hi, i got a 98 civic gli hatchback and was thinking about getting a sports
air filter, will it make it sound better? can u notice the difference? how much would one cost? thnx |
Re: Air Filter for CIVIC?
Sound will be the same. Get a K&N Filter with a flow thru exhaust system. Performance should go up OR the sound is so cool that you just can't resist stomping on it more often. Either way you are FAST & Furious!

Re: Air Filter for CIVIC?
if your going to do it, get a cold air intake, will increase performance
slightly (maybe 2-3 hp) and will give better gas mileage (slightly again) unless you like the new sound you only get when your hard on the gas =) "Jim92" <martinj4@cox.net> wrote in message news:0bae83dc3ab5ff78ff725f087c108236@localhost.ta lkaboutautos.com... > Sound will be the same. I suggest that you visit a Barnes and Noble book store and try to find a book entitled, "Honda and Acura Performance Handbook" by Mike Ancas. You don't have to buy it unless you want to but you should read Chapter 6--Intake Systems. |
