Alternator Problems 00 Accord
 
Has anyone had to change their alternator yet on the 2000 accord?? if so
what's the trick getting it in and out. i got mine out but took forever
and was wondering if there as some trick to it. dread tomorrow when it
comes time to put the new one in. thanks guys.......Keith

I looked on http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ and the
setup on the 4cyl accord is pretty much the same as it is
on my civic. There is a bracket that can be removed which
makes it way easier to get the alternator in and out.

Thats the way it looks to me anyways, i could be wrong.

v-6?? pull the radiator fan, three bolts, and they come right
out. 4-cyl? couldn't be easier.

Thanks Disallow and Chip. I took the bracket off and that did give more
room to work with as for the fan i found 2 bolts holding it. i'll find
the 3rd one today and take it out before trying to put the alternator
back in. thanks again guys for the input....Rick
