bogging problems Civic

I have a 1987 Honda civic wagovan 1.5L carb engine. The motor has a recent
reconditioned head and carb. Compression is good, it idles fine and I
checked the ignition timing and it seems fine also. The problem is when you
hit the gas from idle it bogs momentarily then revs up. Any help would be
appreciated. Thank you

Vac advance, or sticking advance weights in the dist. You sure the carb
is squirting fuel as you start to advance the throttle? bob

Another thing to check is the power valve at the base of the carburetor.
Does it seem to accelerate fine at the higher rpms?

Re: bogging problems Civic

Reset your accelerating, there is a little tab on the carb, that you can
bend,to get more fuel out of the pump when you accelerate
