I love have these at home for days I can't make it to the gym and for doing P90X. They feel really good in the hand even without gloves, perfect for home use.
For the price of these dumbbells you can buy a gym membership for a good 3 years. Go out and buy some dumbbells that are within your personal restraints. Buy an actual fitness machine that will work your entire body instead of your arms. Whatever you do, don't buy this because it will probably end up sitting in a closet in a month or two and collecting dust because it will not help you achieve your fitness goals.
These are great weights, I was debating on what to purchase but I decided to go for the SelectTech's because of convenience. I had been using a set of 20 pounds but that just was not enough weight for me unless I wanted to increase reps. Anyways I've been doing the P90X workout routine and these are easy and convienent to change the weight. In short they are quite pricey, but if you were to buy a whole set of seperate dumbbells then the price would sky rocket plus it would take up to much space, as I live in a small house. Okay enough about these. Just buy them if you have the money for it, well worth the money.
...As expected in terms of quality and ease of use.In addition, this is the only set available on the market which allows you to have increasing weights (and decreasing number of reps) in multiple sets without breaking your momentum because the weight adjustments are that fast.I did not get the stand but am thinking about it.
The dumbells were just as described. Easy to use and change weights. Not nearly as sloppy as the older model SelectTech bells (weights do not shift around as much).My only complaints at these dumbells would be that they are quite large, which may prevent some workouts, and that they are rounded, so they cannot be used as impromptu push-up bars.
