Re: Brakes or what?
Likely your pads are worn down and there is uneven wear ion both your pads
and rotors. If they're grinding it'll certainly get rougher and rougher. Check the pads and see if the rotors are worn deep and scored. If they're salvageable get them planed on the car at a shop and new pads. If not and you can do the job yourself, you'll save bucks replacing the pads and rotors yourself. Also if the rotors are salvageable, it may be cheaper to get them resurfaced at a store you'll get the smoothest performance out of the on car lathing. If my pads get low enough to grind I just replace the pads and rotors and it works fine. When my '88 Accord was built people didn't do on car lathing so slapping on new parts is at least as good as new. <vze33sg4@mail.verizon.net> wrote in message news:3FF62141.DB95017A@mail.verizon.net... > I'm hearing a grinding in the front wheel area, brakes I assume, but I > also have when slowing down from high speeds a vibration in the front > .Some one told me this is the rotors............is this > true?.............comments?...............thank you... > |
