car vandalized, best way to remove sharpie off paint?
 

Some punk wrote some profanities with a sharpie on my bumper. I want to
remove them ASAP, is there a way to do it without hurting the car paint?
Does it just have to be painted over?

Rubbing alcohol will remove permanent maker from most
surfaces, so i don't see why it wouldn't work on a car. Don't
use it full strength at first (apply with a damp cloth) and wax
the full panel afterwards.

Laquer thinner will also take it off right away, but you have to be
careful not to let is stand on the surface.

If the car has been waxed, no problem to use a bit of Laquer thinner.

Rewax when you're done.

Laquer thinner will also take it off right away, but you have to be
careful not to let is stand on the surface.

If the car has been waxed, no problem to use a bit of Laquer thinner.

Rewax when you're done.

Sharpie ink will easily come off if you rub it with a vodka soaked
paper towel,which is much less harsh than denatured alcohol or lacquer
thinner.

Friend suggested a white pencil eraser. It did the trick, can still see it
if you look at it in the right light (like shade difference) but I think
that'll go a way once I wash/wax the car.
