Civic lowered by 2"

Hi All,

Ever since I have lowered my 1995 Civic by 2" the handling is very stiff
(feels like a tank) and my cd has started skipping on every little bump. Is
it normal and expected or something wrong? I have also checked the alignment
already.

Appreciate your help.

Matt. A..

- KYB Adjustable struts
- Maxspeed coil overs
- Sprint camper kit
- Mugen strut towerbars
- Toyo Proxes FZ24 205/40VR16

So now you want the factory ride to go with it?

dur. you expected different? personally, get away from the civic. rice up
something everyone doesnt have. like me, i tricked out my 2k daewoo lanos s.
bitch runs ~230hp now, compared to 108 stock. has a few dents in it...
doesnt make a buncha noise... but that car will get up and go like theres no
tomorrow. great gas mileage in city AND highway (30mpg and 50mpg when driven
sanely). i lowered my car ~1 inch... little less maybe. handles a bit better
and indeed it is a rougher ride. had you done your research, you would have
known this. HTH!

Re: Civic lowered by 2"

Your car will handle just as good if you put the stock springs back on but
retain the adjustable struts. Those coilovers are garbage for a street car.
Great for max perf on a race track but for the street...

The rest of your setup is solid if improved handing is your goal.

Re: Civic lowered by 2"

Thanks for the info. I was expecting some discomfort but not to this level.
Some how I thought I cannot lower the car without coilovers. I guess I have
wasted some money on those maxspeed coilovers.

Appreciate your advice...
