Civic motor swap
I would like to know if a ZC Japanese Domestic motor will bolt onto a stock
United States Domestic 1989 Civic DX tranny. Also how significant is the wiring harness change that is necessary to utilize the MPFI on the ZC motor? Email me direct or better yet post reply in group. Thank you in advance. |
Re: Civic motor swap
Should bolt up. You need more than just a wiring harness change, you need a
computer from a civic Si or EX or first generation Integra. You won't like the gearing of the DX tranny though. The swap is easier if you have an EX or Si to start with. Go to yahoo and search for ZC DX swap, and you'll find lots of info. Re: Civic motor swap
ah yes the ECU from an Integra I think is the answer, correct? (but I'm not
sure of this also) I kick myself all the time for not just getting the Si in the first place...it's just that I recently replaced the clutch with a nice ACT so like to use it if I can. Thank you for the advice. I'm just wanting to do a nice clean swap for as few clam as possible, as this is my transportation to a from work. |
