Doing test A,C,D

According to Honda Civic 2001 manual after 48,000km (mine now 47500) I have
to do these things beside changing the oil rotate tires.

1) Inspect and adjust drive belts
2) Replace air conditioning filter
3) Replace air condition cleaner element.

I want to do these by myself this time. I am not sure what of these I can do
it at home (with help from car manual, instructions from you/websites etc)
and which one can not be done at home (I suspect the first one).
The reason I want to do it beside saving money, learn something, and I have
the time to do it, so why not. Any help/direction/advice etc about how to
do all these above would be very much appreciated.

The last time I checked, a screwdriver was considered a tool.

Again using a screwdriver AKA a tool. <g>.

Thanks for the info, buddy. But swapping out the AC filter still doesn't
require any tools.

Again, thanks for the info. Note that I did not say anywhere that #3 didn't
require tools. It requires a socket wrench.

Yeah, you'll need to buy the filters. Look in the maintenance section in the
manual for the parts and instructions. Sorry, I don't have any experience
with drive belts.

Possibly not, but, to get to the A/C filtre does require the use of a
screwdriver. To remove the glove compartment.

No. 1 open hood and look at belts with the motor running.. look to see
if they loop- swing out when rotating??? probably not, then turn motor
off and feel the belts to see if they are loose.. thats all the dealer
would do....
No. 2 look in this news group for 2001 honda a/c filter replacement, it
was there 7.27.03...... i just read it....
No. 3 I dont know what a a/c cleaner element is, but cant be much other
than pulling out filter and putting new one in.....
