EGR valve
The check engine light came on and the code was read. It said egr valve
incifficient flow. The dealer said this is a major job and that a retrofit
kit has to be installed. Could someone please explain this procedure in
detail.98 accord v-6 91k miles. thanks Gary

Go to your local library and see if they have a subscription to the Alldata
database. This database contains technical service bulletins (TSB) issued
by Honda. The TSB that covers this problem is #99-085.

Go to your local library and see if they have a subscription to the Alldata
database. This database contains technical service bulletins (TSB) issued
by Honda. The TSB that covers this problem is #99-085.

Go to your local library and see if they have a subscription to the Alldata
database. This database contains technical service bulletins (TSB) issued
by Honda. The TSB that covers this problem is #99-085.

I forgot to mention that this TSB is listed as an Emissions System Recall
and the title of the TSB is "Recall - EGR Port Clogging/Warranty
Extension." This implies that you should be able to get the work done under
warranty.

I forgot to mention that this TSB is listed as an Emissions System Recall
and the title of the TSB is "Recall - EGR Port Clogging/Warranty
Extension." This implies that you should be able to get the work done under
warranty.

The warranty is good to 80 k miles. Mine has 91 k.
