engine swap for an 87 CRX
i know the 88's and above changed the design, but would i be correct in
assuming that if i found a prelude engine with less miles than the CRX's (or equal, im not picky), that it SHOULD fit with little effort? no, i wont be doing this on my own, i plan on paying someone to do this for me. while im at it, does anyone have any suggestions as to what engine would fit with little or no issues into an 87 CRX HF with only 120k miles on it? ty for input. ps - if anyone here is framiliar with daewoos... id like some assistance with a 2k lanos s. thanks! (the daewoo groups are empty..) -- Be sure to check out my site @ Http://www.the-c0re.tk. updated daily sometimes, new pix of the tanks and cats all the time. check it out!!! |

(the daewoo groups are empty..) a prelude engine would be okay however the best swap for your car would be the D16A1 1.6 16V DOHC PGM-FI 1590 113hp@6250rpm 99tq@5500rpm '86-'89 Integra (USA), it is a very tunable engine and it will mount properly, accura didnt chang that till later. here is a sight from a guy who has done it and given some details and lots of pics. http://www.muller.net/sonny/crx/ Andrew |
