Engine/transmission swap in 97 accord question

I would like to change a 97 Accord automatic trans to a
standard. Questions:

1. Do I have to change the ECU?
2. Will I have to use an Accord trans or, will a Prelude trans
work?
3. What is involved in installing a clutch pedal?

I was also thinking of putting in a different motor (VTEC of
course). Which motors would be a good canidate for the swap?
Which transmission should I use with this motor (Accord Standard
trans?). How much torque/horsepower could this transmission handle?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Engine/transmission swap in 97 accord question

Well I swap that i heard of is the h22 swap if your looking for some
performance, which is the prelude engine. DOHC and vtec. Normally when you
get an h22 engine they come with the transmission. Also the ecu should come
with the engine you buy.
I was wondering about the clutch pedal myself.
