getting the TCU out of my 91 Accord
I was looking at the best way to remove the carpet so I can remove the
TCU in my 91 Accord but saw some floor saddle (at door way) and plastic wall trim holding the carpet in place. It was getting a bit dark but I didn't see any screws holding the plastic trim in place. Do these just snap out...inotherwords do I just give them a yank to remove them or what is the best way to remove the carpet without destroying the carpet / trim to remove the TCU ? |
Re: getting the TCU out of my 91 Accord
The plastic saddles are held in place with metal clips from
underneath. They can be slowly lifted from the rear to remove them. From what I remember the front slides under the kick panel. I don't think the kick panel has to be removed to pull back the carpet since the carpet is just tucked under it a little. The panel is also held with the same kind of clips as the saddle. If you have to remove it pull it gently. The carpet is held (under the plastic saddle) with a plastic U channel that sits on a metal ridge of the door sill. There are no screws on my 91 DX.
