Good news, 2000 Odyssey
Just returned from the dealer. They diagnosed transmission, it's DOA and
they have ordered a replacement one. The new transmission, from what I understand, is a rebuild or remanufactured one. (I hope they find, eliminate or correct the problem that is the culprit for the failure.) The new transmission has, I believe, a 36,000 mile warranty. Man this has been a roller coaster ride. To buy a used vehicle, the tranny fails on 1900 mile trip home...I am thinking "WHAT in the world have I gotten myself into?" and then to get a happy ending. Whew. Perry |

I have had problems with various companies over the years refusing to help me. It's great to know that Honda (at least in your case) is doing everything it can to help you with your problem. I wish that all companies would follow this practice. -- NEWSGROUP SUBSCRIBERS MOTTO We respect those subscribers that ask for advice or provide advice.
