Headlight bulb in 2005 Accord

Do I really need to remove the battery in order to have access to the driver's side bulb...?

We had a 2005 hybrid sedan Accord and I replaced all front bulbs with HIR
bulbs without removing the battery. Some I followed the manual to do but
others I just winged it successfully.

Re: Headlight bulb in 2005 Accord

If it's the standard headlight bulbs you don't even need to pop the hood to
replace the bulbs, but they could still be a PITA. You'll need a flathead
screw driver. If it's the driver side bulb you want to turn the steering
wheel to the right. If it's the passenger bulb turn it to the left.

CAREFULLY pop about 3 clips off which are fastening the wheel well liner.
You'll need to reach under and twist the bulb out and unclip it from the
harness. The clips are easy to break if not careful. When you put the new
bulb in, make sure not to tuch the bulb with your fingers. This will leave
prints and grease, shortening the life of the new bulb. Once the new bulb
is twisted in and the liner replaced, everything should work!

Check the manual for instructions and possible diagrams.

That's the problem...I don't see any clips underneath in the wheel well, it
is all flat there.

Remember to clean the new bulb with alchol to make sure there is no oil on
it before installing it.

Re: Headlight bulb in 2005 Accord

They are like black, round, plastic bolts holding the liner in place. It's
right on the edge of your fender. Those are the things holding the lining
in place. Have you checked the manual? I believe it may have diagrams in
there. When I couldn't figure out how to get to the bulb, that's the first
place I checked.

Take another look where I described and it'll be there.

Good luck!
