Here's a snow day problem to watch out for
With our blizzard conditions yesterday we ended up with 13" of snow. I
know, it's nothing like what New York has seen but with the 40 mph winds, it was enough to create a problem I 've never experienced, so thought I'd pass it along. Yesterday, the CRV was running like a champ until it sat for five hours outside, in the blowing crap. When I drove to the store it started missing, just like it ran last year when a fuel injector died. Finally got to check it out this afternoon. There was some snow in the engine compartment, but nothing I could see that was touching any wires or getting in the way of any belts, etc. But I found water under the plug boot in hole for plug number one. The hole was about half full. Plenty, I'm sure to short out that wire. I guess the boot wasn't seated well enough around the hole to keep the blowing snow out. It then melted and that's all she wrote! Dried it out and replaced the plug wires. She runs great again! Dave |
