Honda Radio
I have an older Civic 4WD wagon. A friend gave me a stock Honda
AM/FM/Cassette (mid-'80's?) which would be an upgrade over what's in it now. Unfortunately, the female plug didn't come with it. Does anyone have a diagram or link to one, so I can know how to connect the wires? Thanks, Unc |
Re: Honda Radio
If the car is from the '84 - '87 generation I can get you the wiring
diagram for it. Let me know if this is what you need, + a valid e-mail address. Whatever you do, do not cut the wires in the car. Many places sell the plug that goes into the stereo as well as a connector that plugs into the wire harness in the car. Get one of each and build an adapter. The "usual suspects" for these connectors / harnesses are: http://www.americaninternational.net/ http://www.metraonline.com http://www.scosche.com/ uncle k wrote: > > I have an older Civic 4WD wagon. Re: Honda Radio
Is it a Honda radio in there now? If yes, the radios are probably
interchangeable. Most of the radios have the wiring diagram on a sticker on the radio. bob |
Re: Honda Radio
Thanks gents. Mine is an '85. The current radio is an after-market brand.
The dental floss inside broke, i.e., it can no longer be tuned. Easier to replace than repair. When I got the car, the female plug was gone... nothing but a bunch of leads hanging there. I added rear speakers. I'll check out the links and go from there. Unc |
