I was getting the two mixed up since I also have a '98 CRV. Like I said, the Honda Factory Service manual recommended Dexron at the time without any mention of a Honda fluid. I'm looking at it right now in my '88 Accord Service manual. It's right there in the maintenance section on page 4- 4 and also on page 15-16 in the Auto Trans section.
