IAT Mod Questions

Hello everyone,

I've heard about the mod where you can stick a resistor into the IAT
sensor and get a few more horses just from increasing the fuel/air ratio.
According to my Haynes manual, the normal resistance of the IAT sensor at
room temperature should be between 1k-4k Ohms. My question is: Does
increasing or decreasing the resistance increase power? My other
question is, what is the optimal amount of resistance (Ohms and wattage {½
or ¼}) to use on a 1990 Civic LX 1.5L SOHC with DPFI?

Thanx in advance!

Jonathan

P.S. How much resistance is too much? (i.e. What would happen if I stuck
a 20k Ohm resistor in there?) I know you can only go so far before the
check-engine light comes on, but I'm just curious if anyone knows.
