Just bought a new Civic
I just bought a Civic 2003 DXG 2 days ago.
I'm interested to know if any of you have any good/bad history with this model/year? Any thing i can expect? Has to be head and shoulders better then my taurus was for upkeep. Thanks for you help. -- Shaggy |

Make sure you have the oil changed every three thousand miles. The coolant and transmission fluid should be changed every two years. Post your questions here regarding other items. |

Why does the engine oil need changing every 3000 miles in your view, which seems out of kilter with the view of Honda? Or is Honda a high maintenance cost vehicle with a poor engine life where you are? Huw --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). I just got done putting 114,000 miles on a 1997 CRV (Civic Recreation Vehicle). It still has the original battery and exhaust. The only things I changed were tires and a timing belt. It still runs excellently. Sometimes I did not change the oil for 6000 miles - no big deal. My CRV runs just as good as it did new. I expect the second owner will take it to 200,000 miles - no sweat. |
