Leak on 90 Civic
 

it has about 155k miles on it
i got it about 4 months ago
have papers on repairs since the car has been owned
A/C still works from factory
about 2 months ago i bypass the heater core, as it leaked and i live in
Texas, so i
do not need it
for the last 2 days, it has been leaking at the bottom of the radiator,
it gathers coolant at the bottom pan, then flows out to the bottom
plastic sheild.
i have been told that if the radiator leaks, then it would be a flow,
but the leak is off and on
i would run it for a while (10 mins) and no leak, but then i would run
it for 5 mins and a leak
i run the a/c and i think that makes it leak sooner, but i know for
sure when the engine gets hot, the pressure in the radiator causes the
leak.
The engine space is VERY little, so i can not look under the radiator
unless i remove the bumper, so i can not see if any hoses are
cut/leaking.
i can not see any hoses where it is leaking (right side, near the
belts)
I come to this groups, hoping that i can find any help, as i am a
student, and can not afford to go to the shops, unless i need to

"mrneo", you wouldn't be red cloud, alias mmdir2005, would you? y'all
have 90 civics, declared poverty and strikingly similar communication
issues.

regarding the vehicle, there are no radiator hoses near the belts so
they can't be leaking in that location. and taking the bumper off won't
help you see anything to do with radiator plumbing. also, how on earth
is the heater core leaking? that'll only happen if you've done
something, er, "unusual" with the coolant fluids.

you need to take this vehicle to someone that knows what they're looking at.

regarding the vehicle, there are no radiator hoses near the belts so
they can't be leaking in that location. and taking the bumper off won't
help you see anything to do with radiator plumbing. also, how on earth
is the heater core leaking? that'll only happen if you've done
something, er, "unusual" with the coolant fluids.

you need to take this vehicle to someone that knows what they're looking at.

this is my 1st post on google groups, i heard this from a friend .. as
far as "communication issues" i was simply throwing facts out there, so
that the answer/reply would not include "how many miles are on the car"
i have no clue why/how the heater core got a leak, i know that once i
bypassed it,
there was no overheating due to leaks
